If the drain is not operating, common causes include lack of power or incorrect voltage, incorrect wiring or reversed polarity (especially on 12VDC models), a faulty timer module, or a clogged strainer or blocked discharge line.

The solenoid works when bypassed, but the timer does not. What does this mean?

This typically indicates that the valve and coil are functioning properly. The issue is most likely related to the timer module, wiring, or power supply.

How do I troubleshoot a TD Series timer drain?

Start by pressing the test button on the timer. If the drain actuates, this confirms power is reaching the unit. Next, verify the correct voltage is present at the timer and that it remains stable under load. Check all wiring connections and confirm correct polarity for DC units. Inspect the strainer and ensure the discharge line is not blocked.

What should I do if the unit still does not work?
